Spicy Slaw

This slaw doesn’t have the creaminess of other slaws.  This one has a unique personality of its own.  There’s a little kick from the jalapenos and the red pepper, and a happy dance of sweet and tart flavors.  It’s crisp and fresh, and I love it piled on a pulled pork sandwich and fish tacos or served as a side with barbecued chicken and enchiladas.  For the best flavor, don’t use a store-bought slaw mix for the cabbage.
