Shells Stuffed with Sausage and Ricotta

Gooey cheese, bubbling marinara, shells containing a savory blend of sausage and cheese…what could be better?  This recipe is a frequent request in our house.  It’s a fun one to prepare-I like to get my hands dirty- and it can be prepped a day ahead and tossed in the oven when you’re ready to serve it.  I use my homemade marinara, but a jar of high-quality store-bought sauce will work in this recipe.  I recommend Cucina Antica or Rao’s marinara.
