Corn Chowder with Chicken

This is in frequent rotation in our house.  It’s also something I love to deliver to friends post-surgery, or while unpacking boxes at a new house.  It has a little kick from the cayenne, and is hearty enough for a satisfying dinner.  A fresh salad and crusty bread are perfect accompaniments.  It’s especially good when made with fresh corn, but if you need to use frozen, you’ll still be happy.
