Pear, Cranberry and Oat Squares

I buy cranberries every autumn and stockpile them in the refrigerator to use year round. I love the tartness of the berries. I’ve been known to make fresh cranberry sauce in the middle of summer to put on a turkey sandwich with sliced apples. This is another reason to pull a bag of cranberries out of the freezer whenever fresh pears are available. They don’t disappoint.
